Choose a garage, tick the work you need & click “Book Now”.  Select a suitable date for your booking. You can change this using the calendar icon in the box. Enter your full name, email address & contact number into the relevant boxes. This gives the garage the ability to contact you before and during the appointment. Enter any comments, notes or problems you would like to make the garage aware of. Please add as much detail as possible to help them fix your problem. Accept our Terms and Conditions, tick the reCAPTCHA box and complete the booking. We email you a confirmation email of your booking to the email address you provide.

We need your vehicle registration as all prices shown are specific to your exact vehicle. It also helps us to match you with relevant SecretService dealerships in your area and ensure we only show garages that can service your make and model of car.

Providing your postcode allows us to find your position in the UK and provide instant prices from all the garages within a certain radius of your location. You can tailor the search radius to your needs. We don’t ask for exact address information unless you need the garage to provide vehicle collection and delivery or a customer drop-off service.

Some garages offer same-day availability, but it may be rare in your area. To find a garage for the same day, adjust your “Available Before” date to the current date and see which options are available. If you don’t see any results, we recommend expanding your search radius as far as you’re willing to travel to find a garage that offers a same-day booking.

We allow you to make a booking up to a year in advance. For example, this allows you to book this year’s and next year’s MOT at the same time to avoid forgetting the date.

We never ask for payment details. You always pay the garage directly and you always pay the price quoted on BookMyGarage unless you’ve given the garage permission to carry out extra repairs after completing your initial booking. You only ever pay for your booking once the work has been completed. If you’ve made multiple bookings, or book a follow-up appointment directly with the garage, you’ll pay for that work once it has been completed as well. There are no customer booking fees to pay either.

This depends on the warranty provider. Some warranties require you to use authorized repair shops, while others allow you to choose your own mechanic. Always check the warranty terms to understand the repair process.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer the option of selecting a certain time for most of our garages as we don’t have access to their diaries. Once you’ve chosen a suitable date, they will contact you to confirm a time. Certain SecretService dealerships have given us access to their diary, so we’re able to provide specific time slots for these branches. However, these may not be available in your area.

To compare prices from garages in your area, enter your vehicle registration, postcode and select the service(s) you want to book. Once you’ve clicked “Compare Prices Instantly”, you’ll see a full list of garages near you including their prices, availability, distance and more.

If the default product is not what you’re looking for, you can click the down arrow within the product selection box on the booking tool and select/de-select products as appropriate. If you wish to add additional products or change your booked product from the directory results page, ticking/un-ticking the boxes will automatically update the available garages and the prices shown.

If you want to see the garage results on a map view, click the checkpoint on a map icon next to the “Sort By” bar in the top-right corner. This will display a map of the local area and allow you to see where each garage is in relation to the postcode you’ve just entered. If you find your perfect garage in the map view, you can complete the booking as normal without having to revert to the results list.
